Kelly handles the operational side of the unit, which includes event coordination and logistics, website editing, survey administration, and maintaining the RD projects database. She also plays a key role in producing the RD Advisor newsletter, coordinating CoRD meetings, and contributing to RD unit planning, team learning, communication, and reporting. Prior to joining the Research Development team, she worked as the Data and Operations Associate in career services at UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce. Her professional background is rooted in nonprofits and higher education, with extensive experience in database management, human resources, and grant writing. Kelly has a BA from Missouri State University and an MA in Religious Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Scholarly Publishing (editing emphasis) from Arizona State University. She joined UVA in 2022 after moving to Charlottesville from Denver, Colorado. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time in nature, painting, discovering new restaurants, and exploring Virginia.
